What We Do
At Blue Bus, we provide:
Day tours and charters for groups anywhere in South-East Queensland.
Extended accommodated tours.
Fully catered camping safaris.
School excursions, sports charters, transfers to extra-curricular activities and camps.
Extended educational tours such as Canberra trips, ski trips, and outback camping safaris.
School services on Russell and Macleay Islands, taking students to the Primary schools on both islands and across to the Redland Bay Marina, where students can make connections to local high schools.
We also operate two private school services for Faith Lutheran College, Redlands, picking up in the Mt Cotton/Redland Bay area and in the Birkdale/Cleveland area.

History
Blue Bus owner Geoff Jacob has worked in the bus industry since 1987, when he started working for Mylon Motorways in Wodonga as a coach driver and mechanic. He and his wife, Sandra, worked as a coach driver/cook team for Pat Mangan’s Swagman Tours in 1994 taking tours all over Australia from Tasmania to Cape York, through the Red Centre, across the Nullarbor, and up the West Coast to Darwin.
Geoff then worked for Palmwoods Coaches on the Sunshine Coast before buying the Russell Island School Bus Service in 2002. This was a small school run with only a 30 seat bus. They bought the Macleay Island School Bus Service two years later and operated a mechanical workshop on Russell Island for a number of years.
In 2009 Blue Bus commenced operations based out of Victoria Point, operating a private school run and doing day trips, charters, extended tours and camping safaris. Our fleet (and staff) has grown over the years and we now have buses ranging from 37 seats through to 57 seats, from school buses to luxury toilet-equipped long distance coaches. We transport over 400 students daily on our buses to school and provide travel for a variety of groups of all ages from vacation care children, sporting groups, travellers from overseas through to social day-trippers.
